Idle Heroes All Guild War Frames & IDA Frames

The updated Guild Wars and Inter-Dimensional Arena have brought forth tons of new frames to boost your stats in Idle Heroes.

It is important to know which frames you can obtain and which avatar frames give you the best stats.

Note: There are old frames from the old version of guild wars, but they can no longer be obtained so we won’t be listing them here.

All Guild War Frames & Stats

First we will go through all the possible frames you can obtain by fighting and winning in the new and improved guild wars.

You can get a total of five different frames depending on your final ranking in the guild war. You can get an unlimited amount of any frames as well as use any duplicates to upgrade any other frames you have.

The last column in the below table shows the amount of xp or upgrade progress you get by using a certain frame to upgrade another.

Note: You get more essence back if you destroy an already upgraded frame.

The decent Guild War frames are only obtainable if your guild is on the top of their game and consists of multiple full E5 teams.

If you are struggling to find a guild full of active players, you better bet would be to aim for the Inter-Dimensional Arena frames instead, as they rely on individual performance.

All Inter-Dimensional Arena (IDA) Frames & Stats

All IDA frames only give either just HP or Attack and HP buffs, which differs from the guild war frames that also can give crowd control immunity.

However, the top level IDA frames give much higher amounts of HP and ATK in comparison, so they might be better suited for your lineups.

When it comes to IDA frames, the highest one that is easy to achieve is the Overseer frame, as it just needs patience and a few arena tickets. Maverick is easily obtainable if you have a lot of tickets and can play daily.

Pay-to-Win VIP Frames

These frames are only obtainable during Black Friday events and they usually cost around $600 – $700 to obtain.

They are definitely not worth pursuing unless you are a very high spender, but we figured they would be a fun addition to this list nonetheless, to see how much people are paying for these stats.

As you might notice, when compared to the best guild war frame, you would have to pay a lot of money just for a higher critical hit chance and a bit higher crowd control immunity. Unless $700 is chump change for you, it is much better spent elsewhere.

How to Upgrade a Frame in Idle Heroes

Upgrading frames is a pretty simple process, similar to the way you upgrade artifacts.

The main thing you need to realize is that you can only upgrade a frame when it is not currently equipped.

This means you need to remove it from your user first in order to upgrade it.

Once you get to the upgrading screen, all you need to do is tap on any of your useless frames to level up the frame.

Any extra EXP spillover you get after a level-up will be turned into upgrade essence (avatar frame essence), so you can use it for the next upgrade level. This way nothing will go to waste when upgrading your frames.

Obviously you can’t upgrade a frame more than what it’s maximum level is, so make sure to check the tables above to see how many times you can level up your frame. For example, you can upgrade the Royal Amethyst guild war frame a total of 9 times (the one above is currently upgraded 7 times).

Do Idle Heroes frame stats work everywhere?

It is good to realize that Idle Heroes frames only apply in PvP related scenarios.

This means the frame buffs only apply in Arena, Guild War, challenges from your friends list and assists in Celestial Island.

This means that you avatar frames do not provide any bonus stats in PvE content like aspen dungeon, guild raids or Tower of Ascension.

If you are PvE focused player, you shouldn’t put too much effort into trying to obtain these frames. In contrast any PvP oriented players (most of us) should try to obtain the best possible frames to improve your lineup.

The best frame to use in Idle Heroes

One of the most asked questions when it comes to frames is what is the best frame to get in Idle Heroes.

The answer can vary, but for most people we recommend trying to go for the highest guild war frame, Royal Amethyst, instead of any of the IDA frames.

This decision stems down to the fact that it is generally easier to obtain than the highest IDA frames and it provides the most CC immunity, which is crucial in end-game PvP and arena battles.

The IDA frames provide higher HP and ATK in many cases, but they require a very good PvP team to obtain and many heroes builds are determined by their artifact, so higher HP or ATK is not necessarily optimal for all heroes, whereas CC immunity is great for everyone.

Obviously the higher tier Black Friday frame provides even more CC, but for 99% of players it is not worth spending money for.
