The Idle Heroes guild shop is a very discussed topic among beginners as the shop has many items and heroes easily obtainable through guild solidus.
The guild shop was completely revamped in 2021 to use a completely new currency called Guild Solidus, which can be obtained only from the Guild Settlement.
This is a fantastic replacement to the old guild market where you had to spend precious guild coins to buy useless rewards.
NOTE: You should NEVER buy Guild Solidus with Guild Coins. Always use your guild coins only on Guild Tech.
What you can buy from the Guild Store
The guild shop has tons of useful items up for grabs, ranging from various hero shards to equipment and even artifact shards.
Now that you get Guild Solidus for free every day, you can freely buy whatever you need from the guild market and not have to feel bad about it.
Obviously it depends on what you currently need to progress faster. In the early game, it will be important to focus on making a strong E5 hero, while in the mid-game you will be needing the best gear.
In the late game, you should really just buy more fodder and the artifact shards to be able to upgrade all your artifacts in Ormus Workshop events.

As with everything in Idle Heroes, whether you should or shouldn’t buy something often depends on current progress. When it comes to hero shards, you shouldn’t spend your guild solidus on the normal 4- or 5-star shards, as you will end up getting fodder elsewhere anyway. Even the light and dark shards are normal (not the usual Elite Shards), so the chances of getting anything good are extremely low in the guild shop.
This leaves you with the guaranteed hero shards which obviously cost more. Out of the cheap options, Horus, Penny and Garuda are the best especially if you are in the early game or still need to finish Seal Lands, as all of them are very useful in those aspects. Aida is also good if you need a healing tank with decent damage to finish Seal Land, but she doesn’t really have a solid place in within the current PvP or PvE meta anymore.

The equipment section of the store is definitely a fantastic investment in the early game, so you can fully equip your main lineup. The main reason the Glory Set is better, is because it costs the same as the Courageous set (Glory item = 3x Courageous items), but when buying a glory item directly, you don’t need to spend any gold for the blacksmith upgrade process.
When it comes to the Artifact fragments, they should always be bought purely so you can get crafting materials from the Ormus Workshop event to eventually upgrade your artifacts.
Guild Store Restock – What does it do?
All the items in the Guild Store have a limited quantity you can purchase. Once you reach that limit, you need to consider using the Restock function.
You are give the option to pay 20K guild solidus to reset the stock on all of the items in the guild shop. This does not provide different items or heroes in the guild market.

So after a guild store refresh, you are only able to buy more of the same items you have purchased previously.
This means you should make sure to first buy everything you want before you restock the market, so you get more value with the restock.
Buying Guild Solidus with Guild Coins
The only reasonable way to attain Gold Solidus to buy items from the guild market, is through the guild settlement.
However, it has been made possible to exchanged your precious guild coins into guild solidus at a rate of 1 to 1. So you would have to spend 1K guild coins to get 1K guild solidus.

Similar to the old guild market, you should NEVER spend your guild coins to get items from the market, so you should also never exchange your guild coins for solidus.
You get so many solidus free from the settlement that there is no reason to sacrifice your guild tech progress for a few hero shards or armor.
